BusinessObjects Upgrade: XI 3.1 Workstation Requirements
For your computer(s) to work with BusinessObjects XI 3.1, you need to make a few workstation adjustments. Making the changes requires "administrator" privileges on the computer. "Administrator" privilege typically means that you are able to make global system changes (e.g., download software, modify operating system settings) on your computer.
For many, system administrators and desktop support staff in your unit will make these changes. For others, who either don't have desktop support staff in their unit or who want to run XI 3.1 on a home or laptop computer, you will need to make these changes yourself.
